One Size Does Not Fit All

Contact lenses are not a commodity — they're a medical device that must fit your eye precisely. Eyes come in different sizes, curvatures, and shapes, and selecting the wrong lens can lead to discomfort, poor vision, or even damage to the ocular surface.

At Harnos Optometry, your contact lens fitting includes careful measurements of your corneal curvature, pupil size, and tear film to identify the lens design and brand that will perform best for you — not just what's most available.

Contact Lens Types We Fit

  • Daily disposable soft lenses
  • Bi-weekly and monthly soft lenses
  • Toric lenses for astigmatism
  • Multifocal lenses for presbyopia
  • Extended-wear and continuous-wear options
  • Colored and cosmetic lenses
  • Specialty lenses (scleral, RGP, ortho-k)

New to Contact Lenses?

We make the process easy. After your fitting, you'll receive hands-on insertion and removal (I&R) training with one of our staff. We won't let you leave until you're confident handling your lenses safely and comfortably.

Before your I&R training appointment, we recommend watching these introductory videos to familiarize yourself with the basics:

Contact Lens Safety
  • Always wash hands before handling lenses
  • Never sleep in lenses unless prescribed for overnight wear
  • Never rinse lenses with tap water
  • Replace lenses on schedule — no exceptions
  • Remove lenses immediately if eyes are red or painful
